Social assets: what they cost and why nothing changed
The five profile and cover images Elistit builds from your brand, when generating one is free, when it costs credits, and why regenerating an unchanged brand hands back the same set.
Social assets: what they cost and why nothing changed
The Social Assets tab builds five ready-to-upload images from your logo and brand colours:
| Asset | Size |
|---|---|
| Pinterest cover | 800 × 450 px |
| Facebook cover | 851 × 315 px |
| Instagram profile | 320 × 320 px |
| Pinterest profile | 165 × 165 px |
| TikTok profile | 200 × 200 px |
Download each one and paste it straight into the matching profile.
When it is free, and when it is not
Generating these runs real image work, so it is credit-gated. The gate is generous, and it is worth knowing which side of it you are on before you click:
- Free – your first generation each month, on every workspace.
- Free – regenerating when your brand has not changed since the last run. You get the existing set straight back.
- 25 credits – a genuine regeneration after you have changed your brand and used your free run for the month.
The button tells you which of those happened, every time. If it says no credits were used, none were.
Why regenerating sometimes changes nothing
If your logo and colours have not changed, there is nothing new to build, so you are handed the set you already have rather than being charged to produce an identical one.
That is deliberate, and it is the usual answer to “I clicked regenerate and nothing happened”. Change a brand colour or replace the logo, save, and then regenerate: you will get a new set.
If it fails, you are not charged
Both halves of the job are covered. If the images fail to build, or they build but fail to upload, the credits are returned and the error says so.
Old images cannot get stuck
Every generation is written to a brand-new address, so a regenerated asset can never be served from a stale cache. If you see a new set on screen, that is the set you have. There is no cache to clear and no need to hard-refresh.
Getting a good result
The assets are only as good as what they are built from:
- Upload a logo with a transparent background where you can. It sits on your brand colours, and a white box around it will show.
- Set your colours first. Generating before your palette is saved produces something technically correct and visually unrelated to your shop.
FAQ
Do these post anything to my social accounts? No. They are image files. Downloading and uploading them is yours to do.
Can I get different sizes? Not currently. The five cover the profile images those platforms ask for.
My download opened the image instead of saving it. That was a bug, fixed on 2026-07-31. The button now saves the file directly.
Does changing my brand update assets I already downloaded? No. A downloaded file is a copy. Regenerate, download again, and re-upload to the platform.
