One Etsy shop per workspace

Elistit uses a strict one-shop-per-workspace model. If you run multiple Etsy shops, each one gets its own workspace — switching workspaces switches the shop, branding, defaults, and Etsy connection together.

Elistit uses one Etsy shop per workspace. The workspace is the shop boundary — there is no way to attach two Etsy shops to a single workspace, and there is no in-app “shop picker” inside the create form. If you run more than one Etsy shop, you create one workspace per shop.

Why it’s structured this way

A workspace owns more than just an Etsy token. Each workspace has its own:

  • Etsy connection and shop ID
  • Brand voice, palette and tone presets
  • Saved listing defaults (shipping profile, taxonomy, who-made, when-made)
  • Smart defaults and prompt history
  • Mockup sets and PrintShrimp connection
  • Project history and listings dashboard

Keeping all of this scoped to one shop means switching workspaces always switches every related setting together — nothing gets mis-routed to the wrong shop.

Running multiple shops

If you operate two or more Etsy shops, the pattern is:

  1. Create a workspace for each shop (e.g. “Wallart Atelier”, “Sticker Kid”).
  2. Connect each workspace’s Etsy shop separately at Integrations → Etsy.
  3. Switch shops by switching workspaces from the workspace selector in the top bar.

When you switch workspaces, the create form, branding, mockup sets, smart defaults and Etsy connection all reload against the new workspace. There is no risk of designing for one shop and accidentally publishing to another.

The number of workspaces you can hold is plan-based — check Billing → your plan or the pricing page.

What happens in the create form

The publishing section of the create form is driven by whether this workspace has Etsy connected:

  • Workspace with Etsy connectedPublish to Etsy toggle is on by default. The shop name is shown next to the toggle.
  • Workspace without Etsy connected — the toggle is shown but disabled, with an inline “Connect this workspace’s Etsy shop to publish. Connect Etsy → message. The project will still generate the artwork — it just won’t auto-create an Etsy draft.

If you switch workspace mid-flow and the new workspace has no Etsy shop, the toggle will disable automatically and the inline notice will appear. You don’t lose your draft — only the Etsy publish option.

Switching to a workspace without Etsy

If you arrive at /create and Publish to Etsy is disabled, you have two choices:

  • Connect Etsy for this workspace — go to Integrations → Etsy, run OAuth, return to /create. The toggle re-enables.
  • Continue without publishing — generate the files anyway. You’ll still get the delivery package in R2 and Google Drive; you can list manually in Etsy later.

Sharing access vs. owning shops

If you have multiple workspaces because you manage shops for clients, the workspace owner is whoever connected the Etsy account. Other members can be invited per workspace — their access is scoped to that workspace’s shop, branding and defaults. Inviting someone never gives them cross-workspace visibility.
