We split each transparent PNG into RGB + alpha channels. RGB goes through ESRGAN (an upscaler trained on full-colour artwork). The alpha channel is bilinear-resized to match the new dimensions and recomposed at the end. The transparency stays a clean threshold at the original geometry — no halo, no fuzzy edge.
