The naive way

Upscale the whole RGBA at once.

Most tools feed the entire 4-channel image into a generic upscaler. The model interpolates the alpha channel like it's another colour band — averaging the partially-transparent pixels at the sticker's edge into a halo of off-white fuzz. The cut-line geometry is unrecoverable without manual cleanup.

Result: a sticker that looks fine in a thumbnail and fails on the cutting machine.

What Elistit does

Split, upscale, resize, recompose.

We split the RGBA into RGB + alpha, run RGB through ESRGAN (a model trained on full-colour artwork), separately bilinear-resize the alpha channel to match the upscaled dimensions, then recompose. The transparency mask stays a clean threshold at the original geometry — no halo, no edge fuzz, no manual cleanup.

Result: a sticker you can cut straight on a Cricut, print on a sticker sheet, or sell as a transparent PNG.
